Oliver Court has been designed to provide greater personal space in self contained accommodation with private facilities. Oliver Court has 15 self contained flats, each with their own bedroom, lounge, kitchen and bathroom and 9 rooms with en suite facilities. Furniture is provided in each room/flat but residents are able to bring their own furnishings to personalise their space. Each flat kitchen is fully functioning and contains everything you might need. Bathrooms have shower cubicles and some bathrooms have wet room facilities for those with mobility difficulties. Where necessary, all meals and snacks can be provided by the home in line with the resident’s care plan. We employ a dedicated cook to offer a wide range of hot and cold options and will always take into account personal favourites and special dietary requirements.
People have their own front door and the flats help to establish a very real feeling of independent living, giving you the time and space to move forward and grow confidence in your own abilities. Staff care and support is on hand 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for assistance with areas that you may find difficult, such as self-medication, meals, social inclusion, daily living skills and more.
Oliver Court has a selection of communal spaces, the purpose of which is to create a social meeting space and to host regular social events. Residents have access to an open plan lounge with comfortable seating, a pool table and a large TV. There is an additional lounge with a television and a large dining room with a quiet seating area which can be used for activities. There is a kitchen available for people to prepare their own food as necessary. Outdoor seating and tables with sun-canopies are available in the sunny courtyard garden, to the front and rear of the property. There is also a barbecue area, which is put to good use during the summer months.
Oliver Court has a weekly activity timetable, which offers the opportunity for residents to get involved in a variety of educational, recreational and enjoyable activities. Residents are encouraged to participate in as much or as little as they want – residents can also suggest activities that aren’t currently on the timetable. Above all of this, our focus is to encourage individuals to find out what they enjoy doing inside and outside.
